OBIT -- LELA MAE HILLEGAS

Lela Mae Abel Hillegas, 85, Troy, died Wednesday at a nursing home in Wathena.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Highland Ambulance Fund.
Mrs. Hillegas was born March 1, 1907, in Troy, the daughter of Eli and Sarah Jane Hunt Abel. She had lived most of her adult life in Troy.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Troy.
Mrs. Hillegas had worked as a sales clerk, retiring in 1972.
She married Raymond Hillegas. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1976. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: a son, Eugene Allen Hillegas, Arlington, Texas; two granddaughters; and a number of nieces and nepews.
