Obituary - Mabel O Bacon
Mabel Oralie Bacon, 69, St. Jo, died Sunday, July 25 at her home.
Born in Wathena, Mrs. Bacon was a homemaker. She was a member of the Carnegie Culture Club and the Needlepoint Club.
On Aug 6, 1941, in St. Jo, she married Wallace L. Bacon. He preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1981.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lela Gamache.
Survivors include a son, Wallace, San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Gloria Campbell, Overland Park; four brothers Ernie Robertson, Belton, Mo., Orval Robertson, St. Jo, Jess Robertson, Tulare, Calif., and Vernon Robertson, Amity Mo.; two sisters, Bonnie Smith, Wathena and Betty Morris, Dearborn, Mo; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, at McCarthy Baptist Church, St Jo. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight (Wednesday) from 7:00 - 9:00 at the Clark-Sampson Funeral Home St. Jo.
