Obituary - Marilyn Bailey
Marilyn "Sue" Bailey, daughter of the late Elma and Harold Shorb was born August 8, 1934, in White Cloud and died of cancer Friday, January 8, 1993.
On March 14, 195?, she was married to William "Bill" Bailey in Topeka. They moved to Coburg, Oregon, and to this union two sons, William "Willie" and Dick were born.
Mrs Bailey graduated from the University of Oregon and taught fifth grade in Harrisburg and fourth through sixth grades at Christ's Center School She loved the great outdoors, hiking, fishing, hunting, sightseeing and square dancing, but most of all, she loved people.
She attended Christ's Center Church and Marcola Christian Church were many people were touched by her life and life.
Survivors include her husband, Bill, of the home; two sons William and his wife Kathy, and Dick and his wife Debbie; five grandchildren, Rachel, Billy Joe, Andrew, Aaron and the newest granddaughter Kelsey Sue Marie who was born the evening of January 8, 1993; her step mother, Mabel Shorb; step-brother Robert D. Jeffers, step sister, Ruth McCauley, all of Highland and a host of relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held in Springfield, Oregon, Tuesday morning, Jan 12, 1993. Memorial contributions may be made to your local American Cancer Society chapter.
