Closky J. Dittemore, Sr., 79, Troy, died yesterday at a St. Joe hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Troy with the Rev. Robert Biggs officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery with the Harman mortuary in charge.
Mr. Dittemore was born at Severance, was a member of the Troy First Christian Church, a veteran of World War I and a member of Louis B. Weinberg American Legion Post No. 55.
He spent most of his life in Doniphan County where he was a farmer, later a service station operator and a Troy postal clerk.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Etta E. Dittemore of the home; three sons, Paul Dittemore, Troy, C. James Dittemore, Topeka, and Calvin L. Dittemore, Sherman, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Dowden, Shawnee Mission; four brothers, George Dittemore and Clarence T. Dittemore, both of Atchison, Roy DIttemore, Polo, Mo., and Ernest Dittemore, Fairburn, S.D.; a sister, Mrs. Viola Shay, Highland, and seven grandchildren.
