Myrtle I. Stonebarger, 77, Wathena, formerly of Troy, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1993, at a nursing home in Wathena.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy. Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. today at Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Wathena.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society are suggested in lieu of flowers.
Mrs. Stonebarger was a homemaker.
She was born Aug. 23, 1916, in Foristell, Mo., the daughter of Lyman and Elsie Cannon Browning. She had lived in Doniphan County most of her life. She moved from Troy to Wathena in 1972.
She married Charles McCoy on June 10, 1932. They were later divorced and he died in April 1981. She married Ed Stonebarger on May 3, 1937. He died March 4, 1987. She was also preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Survivors include a daughter, Thelma Moppin, Troy; three stepdaughters, Edith Moppin and Bernice Moppin, Plattsburg, Mo., and Dorothy Tracy, Troy; two stepsons, William Stonebarger, Highland, and Carl Stonebarger, Robinson; five sisters, Helen Kibler, Stella Feurt, Dorothy Graves, and Rosetta Thornton, Wathena, and Nancy Brace, The Dalles, Ore.; a brother, Robert Browning, The Dalles, Ore.; five grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.
