William "Bill" Turpin, 78, Troy, died Friday, May 14, 1993, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Troy, with the Rev. John Burgreen officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Olive Cemetery in Troy.
Visitation was from 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Troy.
Mr. Turpin was born Jan. 26, 1914 at Troy, son of Gasper and Ada Privett Turpin. He was a lifelong resident and farmer at Troy. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Troy, a member of the Doniphan Fair Board of Troy and a 41-year leader of the Circle B 4-H Club, also of Troy.
Mr. Turpin married Gladys Euler on March 31, 1938 in Hiawatha. She preceded him in death on March 13, 1988. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include a sister, Mildred Hartman, Wathena, and numerous nieces and nephews.
