Obituary - Edward H Brox
Edward H. Brox, 83, Route 2, Atchison,, died Tuesday, March 23, 1993, at an Atchison hospital.
Mr. Brox was a longtime Atchison area farmer.
He was born April 15, 1910, near Atchison, the son of Anton and Barbara Anslinger Brox. He had attended Irish Point School and Atchison Business College.
Mr. Box was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, served on the church board several years and a member of Knights of Columbus Council 723. He also was a member of the board of directors of Atchison Grain, Independence School Board and National Farmers Organization.
He was married to Irene Wohletz Oct. 24, 1933, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Purcell. She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Dan Brox and Gerald "Jerry" Brox, both of Atchison, and Anton "Tony" Brox, Huron; a sister Irene Libel, Leona; nine grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, March 27, in St. Louis Catholic Church west of Atchison. Burial was in St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery. Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, handled the arrangements.
