Obituary - Earl W Boaz

Earl W. Boaz, 75, Topeka, died Tuesday, May 11, 1993, at his home.  Mr. Boaz had operated service stations several years in Topeka and worked for the Animal Health Department for the state of Kansas when he retired.  He was a veteran of World War II.
He was born July 1, 1917, at El Dorado, the son of Thomas W. and Pearl Pound Boz.  He graduated from Valley Center High School. 
Mr. Boaz was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.
He was married to Reva C. Lemon in September 1938.  They were divorced. He was married to Betty Aikens on July 18, 1970.  She survives. A daughter, Charlene Boaz, died in 1941.
Other survivors include two daughters, Kathy Volkland, Shawnee, and Joy Libla, Independence, Mo. ; two sons, Larry Boaz, St. Louis, and Jerry Boaz, Troy; three stepsons, Ken Aikens and Stanley Aikens, both of Topeka, and Richard Aikens, Orlando, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were at West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka.  Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Rescue Mission, 600 N. Kansas Ave., 66608.  Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
