Obituary - John Blanton
John Dale Blanton, 21 St. Jo, formerly of Wathena died Sunday moring in an automobile accident in St. Jo.
Mr Blanton was born May 12, 1972. He lived in Wathena until moving to St. Jo in 1990. He was a detail specialist for Freeway Chevrolet in St. Jo.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Willard and Julia Gill.
Survivors include his son, Cameron Tye Blanton and Cameron's mother, Elaine Johnson, Wathena; his mother and step father, Helen and James Frye, St. Jo; his father and step mother, Marvin and Cheryl Blanton, Stewartsville, Mo.; his paternal grandparents, Nona and William Orcutt, Wathena; two brothers, Mickey Ray Blanton and Michael Alan Blanton, both of St. Jo; a sister Jody Lynn Purvis, St. Jo; two step brothers, Mike and Matt Frye, St. Jo; and numerous cousins.
Services were today, Wednesday at Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Wathena. Rev. Dan Muter officiated. Memorials may be made to his son, Cameron Tye Blanton. A private family burial will be held later.
Honorary pallbears were Roger Orcutt, Bobby Orcutt, Billy Orcutt, Jim Orcutt, Dale Blanton, Jon Walts.
Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Wathena, was in charge of arrangements.
