Virginia Louise Blevins Berger

Virginia Louise Berger 61, Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of St. Joseph, Mo., died Monday June 6, 1994, at a Scottsdale hospital.

Born in St. Joseph Mo., June 12, 1933 to John and Virginia (Reeder) Blevins of Troy, Mrs. Berger lived there until she was three-years-old.  She also lived in Los Angeles, Calif., Chicago, Ill., and Seattle, Wash., and had been residing in Scottsdale for 10 years.

She graduated from a high school in Chicago, Ill., and the University of Illinois-Champaign with a bachelor of science degree in home economics.  Mrs. Berger taught elementary school in San Francisco for about 15 years prior to her marriage.

She was a member of St. Barnabas of the Desert Episcopal Church in Scottsdale and Kappa Alpha Theta sorority at the university.

In 1952 (sic), she married Paul S. Berger at San Francisco.  He survives of the home.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Margaret Cassady, Seattle, Wash., Mary Hawkins, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Pauline Bartlett, LaJunta, Colo.; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Blevins of Troy.

Time and day of services is pending.  Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy.  Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Troy, is in charge of arrangements.
