Obituary - Bill Alexander Bauer

Bauer: Bill Alexander Bauer, 75 Died April 1, 1993, at Appleton Medical Center, Appleton, Wisconsin.
Bauer was born April 26, 1917, in Highland, the son of the late William F and Flora Butner Bauer.  On December 17, 1940, he married the former Majorie Blevins in Highland She survives.
Bauer served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II.  While residing in Highland, he was an active member of the Masonic Lode and recently received a 50 year membership pin.  He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and for 33 years was employed by the Gates Rubber Corporation retiring in 1983.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years; a daughter, Bickley Hetzler; two grandchildren, Matthew Alexander Hetzler and Amy Elizabeth Hetzler, all of Appleton; a brother Virgil, and his wife, Marjorie (Lou) Bauer, Highland; two sisters, Wilma DeMoney, Troy and Josephine Solheim, Blue Springs, Mo.
He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and two sisters.  
Memorial services were held at the First United Methodist Church in Appleton on Sunday, April 4, 1993.
