Obit - Arnold Dakon
Feb. 25, 1993
Arnold Dakon, 77, Kansas City in Clay County, owner of the Dakon Electric Company, died Feb. 16, 1993, at North Kansas City Hospital.
Mr. Dakon had owned the residential electrical contracting company since 1970.  He also was a purchasing agent for the Federal Aviation Administration for 31 years.  He was a member of the Winnwood Baptist Church.  He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader and a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.
He was a member of Toastmasters International and the Rosicrucian Order.  He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps.  He was born I St. Joseph, Mo., and moved to the Kansas City area 51 years ago.
Survivors include: his wife, Hope Dakon of the home; two sons, Richard Dakon, Smithville, and Rod Dakon, Claycomo; a brother, Charles Amos, Troy; five sisters, Joyce Williamson, Washington State, Delana Kernen, Denver, Lorraine Greaser, Troy, Annie Naschke, Palo Alto, Calif., and Alice Pugh, Apple Valley, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, Feb. 19, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel.  Burial was in White Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were his grandsons.
The family suggests contributions to the Gower, Mo. Goodtimers or the Heart of America Bluegrass Club.
