Obituary - Albers, Emma F
Emma F. Albers, 102, Collier Manor, Highland, formerly of Severance and Bendena, died Sunday Feb. 14, 1993, at the Hiawatha Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Church, Bendena. Burial will be in Moray Cemetery Bendena.
Visitation will be from 7-8:30p.m. Tuesday at Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy. Memorials are suggested to St. John's Church or Troy Ambulance Fund.
Mrs. Albers was born March 28, 1890, in Denmark, the daughter of Peter and Marie Jensen Anderson. She came to the United States as an infant.
She was a homemaker and last surviving charter member of St. Jon's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Bendena.
She married Charles Frank Albers on Feb. 14, 1912. He preceded her in death in 1967. She was also preceded in death by a son Louis Albers in 1938; two daughters Carolyn Albers in 1951 and Cathryn Albers in 1961; a grandson; a brother ; and two sisters.
Survivors include a son, Charles Albers, Troy; two daughters Frieda Scott, Pratt, and Frances Stocking, Stockton; two sisters, Marie Keene, Tulsa, Okla., and Martha Jones, Mission; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and four step great great grandchildren.
