Gertrude A Spencer

Died, Miss Gertrude Spencer, daughter of E. a. Spencer, at here parents' home, January 11, 1882, aged about 16 years.  This daughter had been at school, at Emporia, Kan., and was home on vacation.  Not feeling well for some time, and also taking a very severe cold, she sickened and died.  All her thoughts were study, and her greatest ambition was to be prepared for her examiation, so that she might pass with credit to herself.  She was a good girl, one that loved her parents and all her friends.  She was buried in the Doniphan Cemetery.
